to ask for help
from the video above.

The Pause Portal: Drewston Wood (illuminate)
This is why you are not making it worse.
You've made a positive change.
The positive change is
at odds with what was before.
"At odds" can be
uncomfortable
confusing
frustrating,
Hold your nerve
and it will become
illuminating.
Drewston Woods sit on
the v-shaped valley
carved by the River Teign, Devon, UK,
a secret known to few.
At night the air cools,
settles into the valley;
clings stubbornly to the trees
and leaf litter.
For the longest time
in the morning
the sun is blocked
by a ridge.
And then it happens.
The sun hits the cool,
wet woods
and steam and mist
rises from the ground,
the trees,
the last orange leaves.
And there is a light everywhere.
But no view.
Notice your breath’s rhythm
Is today a day for the light
hitting the dark places?
Places of confusion?
Places of stubborn conviction?
Places of comfortable secrets?
Light in the dark places
may not mean instant clarity
or an instant view.
Instead I may be met with
a reaction to the light
that may confuse
or obscure.
But it won’t last forever.
No instant view
does not mean
that the light is not worth it.
State today’s intention
“First the light.
Then patience.
Then the view”.
It’s a start.
Breathe out.
Try it and see what difference it makes.
